Ram is an engineer from Mumbai, India where he studied Electronics
and Telecommunication. He has had a variety of experiences, ranging
from interning at a large telecommunications network firm and
an airline, to being part of a non-profit entrepreneurial venture.
Ram graduated in 2007 from Duke University with a Masters in Engineering
Management, after which he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington,
DC. Ram is widely traveled, speaks four languages fluently, and
is an avid philatelist. |

Liyao Wan is a core member of Duke Global Engineering and Entrepreneurship
Research Team and a Masters student in Engineering Management
at Duke University. Her academic education includes a Bachelor’s
degree in Biomedical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science
& Technology, China, and experience as an undergraduate exchange
researcher at the National University of Singapore. In her free
time she enjoys reading, Yoga and jogging. |

Lokesh Mrig is a Master's student in Duke University's Engineering
Management Program. He holds a Bachelors in Technology with majors
in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from the Indian Institute
of Technology (IIT) Madras. Prior to joining Duke University,
he worked for Trafalgar Financial Futures as a derivatives trader.
In his free time he likes to watch soccer, exercise and play billiards.

Jyothi Kanuri joined the Master of Engineering Management Program
at Duke University in January 2007. She has a Bachelors in Electronics
and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological
University, India. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, traveling
and photography.

Marine Raoux is a 2007 graduate of the Master of Engineering
Management Program at Duke University. She has previously attended
the Ecole Centrale de Lyon where she received a General Engineering
degree. She has interned at Hde Solutions GmbH (Germany) and Japanese
Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA, Japan). Over the past academic
year, she has been involved as a research assistant with Duke’s
outsourcing research. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis,
jogging, watching movies with her friends and reading.

Fanny Kientz is a 2007 graduate of the Master of Engineering
Management Program at Duke University. She has previously studied
General Engineering at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in France, where
she obtained a Master’s Degree. Upon graduating from Duke,
Fanny joined Accenture in Paris. In her free time Fanny enjoys
reading novels, music, going out with friends and traveling.

Zhenyu Yang is a graduate from the Master of Engineering Management
program in Duke University. He is originally from ChongQing, China
and received a Bachelor's degree from the Chinese Military Academy
in 2005. In his free time, Zhenyu is an avid sports fan.

Batul Tambawalla graduated in 2007 from Duke's Masters in Engineering
Management Program. Batul also holds a degree in Electronic Engineering
from Mumbai University. After receiving her Bachelors, she pursued
advance coursework in Computer Science at North Carolina State
University while completing internships with Sony Ericsson Mobile
Communications RTP NC, IBM Corp RTP NC and UBS AG Stamford CT.
Upon graduating she joined UBS AG as an IT Analyst.

Varadarajan Jagannathan is a Master’s student in Duke
University's Engineering Management Program. He holds a Bachelors
in Electronics and Communications from Visvesvaraya Technological
University, India. He has worked as an Associate Software engineer
at Mphasis (A Division of EDS). Over the past few months he has
actively pursued his interest in the field of brand management
in the Information Technology industry. During his free time,
he likes to salsa, play tennis and learn about different cultures.

Vaibhav Jain is an international student and currently enrolled
in Duke’s Master of Engineering Management program. He completed
his undergraduate education in Electronics & Communication
Engineering from Rajasthan University, India. Jain believes that
learning is continuouse, which lead him to Duke University and
broader exposure to management and business dynamics. Vaibhav
started his career as an entrepreneur, founding Vaibhav Power,
India. In his free time he enjoys listening to music, reading
about other entrepreneurs, bike riding and discussing business
ideas.

Rahul Shetty is currently enrolled in the Masters of Engineering
Program at Duke and has previously completed his Bachelor of Engineering
from the University of Mumbai. He has interned with Lehman Brothers
in Equity Research and would like to pursue research in future
job opportunities. In his free time he enjoys soccer and watching
movies.

Archana Ranawat graduated in 2007 from the Master of Engineering
Management Program at Duke University. She has previously attended
the K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai, India, studying
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering for her undergraduate
degree. Her work experience includes time spent as an Assistant
Systems Engineer with the IT consulting firm Tata Consultancy
Services Ltd. After graduating from Duke, Archana joined Deloitte
Consulting in Enterprise Applications. In her free time Archana
enjoys traveling, water sports and listening to music.

Omkar Kunur is currently pursuing a Masters in Engineering
Management at Duke as a member of the Spring 2007 class. After
completing his undergrad degree in Electronics and Telecom from
Mumbai he worked for a year with AcNielsen and Pinstorm technologies.
In his free time he works out, plays golf and swims.

Mark Chang is currently a student at the Duke Masters of Engineering
Management
Program. He has a Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering from University
of
Washington. Mark has a background in biomedical research with
Zymogenetics and
maintains a strong interest in bringing biotechnology to market.

Gloria is a native of Brooklyn, NY and currently a graduate
student in the Masters of Engineering Management Program at Duke
University. She received her B.S. in Computer Engineering with
a minor in Mathematics from Syracuse University. She has had internship
experience working as a Software Engineer in the Business Intelligence
Group at Motorola and as a Technology Analyst in the CD/Swaps
Group at Goldman Sachs. She will be attending law school in the
fall of 2007 concentrating in both in Intellectual Property and
Corporate Law.

Raj Bhortake is currently a student in the Master of Engineering
Management (MEM) Program at Duke University. He has previously
attended the University of Pune, India, studying Computer Engineering
for his undergraduate degree. Raj was working as a Business Analyst
at United HealthCare before he joined the MEM program. This coming
fall Raj will began work for Deloitte Consulting. In his free
time, Raj enjoys playing soccer, poker, traveling, and making
new friends.

technology is the key driver of growth in rapidly developing countries
like India.
