1. National Council of Textile Organizations.
   A U.S. lobbying group representing the interests of the entire US textile sector from fibers to finished products, and from machinery manufacturers to power suppliers. This website contains news articles, links and data on job losses and plant closings in the US.
2. NC State University's Journal of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management (JTATM).
   NCSU is one of the premier textile universities in the United States and JTATM's quarterly issues publish scholarly articles containing the latest research in the field of textile and apparel technology and management aimed at a broad-based audience in industry and academia.
3. Nonwovens.com
   Touting itself as the "leading website for the nonwovens industry," the site is updated daily with news, trends, technology, prices and people information. Market intelligence and research are sold, but there is a useful nonwovens dictionary and manufacturing guide available for free.
4. Nonwovens Industry
   A monthly US publication on the global nonwovens industry, it follows industry trends and issues, conducts market surveys and technology updates and tracks the latest nonwovens news around the globe.
5. Nonwovens Report International
   A bimonthly European publication, supplemented by monthly newsletters covering the global nonwovens industry, it is a blend of technical articles, conference reports, and comprehensive news, product and machinery reviews.
6. The North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center
   A useful website containing news, articles, research and information about programs supported by the Center, it contains a wealth of information about issues affecting rural North Carolinians.
7. Textile Asia
   This monthly magazine offers news and comment on the current state of cotton, wool, silk and manmade fibre textile trade and industry - including finishing and garments - throughout Asia.
8. Textile Outlook International
   The premier industry publication for textile executives, TOI is published bimonthly and provides over 120 pages of expert comment and analysis, including: regular updates on world textile and apparel trade and production trends; profiles of textile and apparel companies and countries around the world; business opportunities in the global market place; political implications and information on trade blocs, tariffs and quotas; and innovations and technological developments in the industry.
9. Textile World
   From fiber to fabric, this website is the online version of North America's leading textile publication. Besides news, features and buyers' guides, it also has job listings, equipment-for-sale postings, and event listings.
10. Community-Based Adjustment to Textile Plant Closure and Downsizing.
    A conference organized by the UNC Economics Department and the Center for the Study of the American South. The website features academic papers and presentations on case studies of textile plant closures and communities suffering from the downsizing in North Carolina.
