Desktop Printers

Most faculty and staff have a laser printer attached by USB port to their desktop PC. A few have networked printers to address shared printing needs or particular requirements such as configuration for output of SAP administrative reports.

Over the years Sociology has standardized on the use of HP printers. Most desktop printers are LaserJets because black and white printing is the base user need and toner printing is less expensive than inkjet printing.

Printers are used until they wear out. Toner cartridges for the models in use are stocked by the department and available by request from Lisa Young.
