I am a sixth-year graduate student in sociology at Duke University. I received my B.A. in sociology at the University of Delaware in 2002. My research interests include stratification, environmental sociology, medical sociology, and the sociology of education.My dissertation is titled, "Environmental Risks to Cognitive Development in Children: The Effects of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and Cotinine on Children’s Educational Outcomes." This project is funded by a $50,000 grant from the Environmental Health Sciences Research Center (EHSRC) (S. Philip Morgan, PI).
