Merged
This dataset contains all the variables from Stage 1 and Stage 2, as well as the aggregate data from the organizations studied in Stage 3. Each individual respondent from Stage 1 is replicated as many times as the number of memberships reported. Please note: The total number of cases in this dataset is significantly lower than in the first stage of the original study. Only those Stage 1 cases that had corresponding data in Stages 2 and 3 were retained.

Dataset:   SAS    STATA
Codebook:    MS Excel    Adobe Acrobat    HTML (all 1983 data)
Questionnaires:    Adobe Acrobat

Please note: the above data contain variables that have never been completely cleaned for analysis, because of the steep cost of cleaning a complex multilevel dataset for every possible use. Most published applications of these data have begun with a thorough inspection and cross-check of every value for every variable used in the analysis. This fact has led to a proliferation of datasets created for single projects. All potential users are warned that the data in these downloads may contain wild codes, nonsense responses, and/or erroneous information.
