a. Growers

Growers contract with b. to supply green bananas. Multinationals and national banana companies also grow their own.

b. Banana companies

1. Independent national and local companies (e.g. Uniban)

2. Multinational corporations (e.g. Del Monte)

3. Co-operatives with government (e.g. Cameroon Development Corporation Sponsorship)

c. Transport and marketing (e.g. Maersk Line)

d. Importers/ripeners/wholesalers (e.g. Atlanta in Germany)

e. Supermarkets and other chains (e.g. Safeway stores in the USA OR Tesco in the UK)

f. Independent jobbers.
