David Siet

David is a graduate student of the Masters of Engineering Management Program. During the summer of 2008, David will intern with Pfizer in New York. He completed his undergraduate degree at Tulane University in 2007, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. David enjoys playing guitar and golf.

Jianglin Ding

Jianglin Ding

Jianglin (Denis) Ding is a member of the December 2008 graduating class of the Masters of Engineering Management Program at Duke University. He completed his undergraduate study at Zhejiang University, China and received his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Munnich University of Technology in Germany. Jianglin’s professional experiences include employment at ST Microelectronics and Infineon Technologies. He enjoys dining, badminton, watching movies and traveling in his free time.

Molly House

Molly House

Molly House is a 2008 graduate student in Duke University’s Masters of Engineering Management Program. She received her Mechanical Engineering degree with a minor in Business and Economics from Lafayette College in Easton, PA. and interned at F2GO (A Textron Company) in the summer of 2007 with the current products group. In her free time, Molly enjoys traveling, snowboarding and movies.

Udai Kaura

Udai Kaura

Udai is a 2008 graduate of the Masters in Engineering Management Program at Duke University. He holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering and has worked for Sapient, an IT consultancy. Within the GEE research group, Udia has focused on the globalization of the pharmaceutical industry. His hobbies include reading, listening to music, playing sports and practicing the piano.

Tanya Srivastava

Tanya Srivastava

Tanya Srivastava is a member of the 2008 graduating class of Duke University’s Master of Engineering Management Program. She has completed her undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communications in India and worked for Tata Consultancy services prior to coming to Duke. She has been involved with multinational research and value chain analysis for the cell phone industry in India and China as a part of an ongoing research into globalization. In her free time she likes to listen to music and paint.

Brian Hilgeford

Brian Hilgeford

Brian Hilgeford is a 2008 graduate of the Master of Engineering Management Program at Duke University. He received his B.S.E in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University in 2006 and subsequently worked for the Land and Armaments Division of BAE Systems. He is currently leading a research project studying returnees from the U.S. to India and China. In this capacity he has assisted in the development of a survey distribution application utilizing the Facebook.com social network. In his free time he enjoys poker, weightlifting, fishing and riding motorcycles.

Karna Vishwas

Karna is a graduate of the Masters of Engineering Management Program at Duke. He received his bachelor’s degree from Osmania University, India in Mechanical Engineering. His work experience includes an internship as a Project Planning and Control Analyst at Honeywell aerospace project Management office. Karna is also a six sigma green belt and certified associate of project management. In his free time, he likes to play guitar and work out.

Jaineel Aga

Jaineel Aga

Jaineel Aga is a member of Duke University’s 2007 - 2008 Masters of Engineering Management class. Over the past academic year he has used his undergraduate electrical engineering degree to analyze the effects of globalization on the semiconductor industry. He interned with Ernst and Young in Mumbai and worked on a research project at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Jaineel was nominated as the American Red Cross intern leader and actively works on blood drives. He also serves on a career advisory committee and writes for Rival Magazine. In his spare time he plays racket ball and listens to rock music.

Lisa is a 2008 Master of Engineering Management graduate from Duke University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Professional Writing with an emphasis in Technical / Multimedia Communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Lisa enjoys traveling, meeting new people and the beach.

Ravi Prodduturi

Ravi Prodduturi

Ravi is a member of the 2008 graduating class within the Masters of Engineering Management (MEM) Program at Duke University. He has work experience with the Computer Sciences Corporation for two years after receiving his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from IIIT in India. In addition to working for the Global Engineering and Entrepreneurship @ Duke research group, he has formulated collaborative business plans between Nosh Restaurants and Duke University and serves on the MEM Career Development Committee. In his free time, Ravi enjoys table tennis.

Aishwarya Ramaswamy

Aishwarya Ramaswamy

Aishwarya Ramaswamy is a student in the Masters of Engineering Management Program at Duke University. Her engineering background focuses on Instrumentation and Control Engineering. Within the Global Engineering and Entrepreneurship (GEE) Research Group, she has focused on the development of pharmaceutical business in emerging economies. In this capacity, she explored the specific business models and R&D activities employed by Chinese and Indian pharmaceutical firms. She is also an active participant of GEE research targeting foreign returnees who have completed an international education before journeying back to their country of origin. In her free time, Aishwarya’s interests include Indian classical dance and psychology.

Rohit Naag

Rohit Naag

Rohit Naag is a graduate student at the Masters of Engineering Management Program at Duke University. He completed his undergraduate education at Osmania University, India, earning a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has entrepreneurial interests and aspires to eventually establish his own company. These interests led him to work on a project exploring the direction of entrepreneurship development at the Indian School of Business. He enjoys outdoor sports including cricket, volleyball and swimming.

Anuj Agarwal

Anuj Agarwal

Anuj is a graduate of the MEM program at Duke University. He has worked for Infosys Technologies Ltd as a CRM / Presales Consultant for three years. At Duke he has served as a research assistant studying globalization issues. He received his bachelor’s degree from VTU, India in Telecom Engineering. In his free time he likes to watch slapstick comedies and enjoys swimming, racquetball and working out in the gym.

Jasmita is a graduate student at the Masters of Engineering Management Program at Duke University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Delhi University, India. Jasmita has been involved with the GEE research group as a research assistant focusing on R&D outsourcing in the pharmaceutical industry.

Akshay Raut

Akshay Raut

Akshay completed his undergraduate education at the University of Pune, India earning a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. He is currently a graduate student at the Masters of Engineering Management Program at Duke University. Prior to joining Duke, Akshay worked for 2.5 years in the field of embedded systems. After graduation, he aspires to transition these interests into the area of technology and management consulting. Akshay’s hobbies include traveling, trivia, music, driving and hiking.

Kalakuntla Praveen

Kalakuntla Praveen

Prior to joining Duke University, Kalakuntla Praveen spent 2.5 years as a Senior Project Engineer with Wipro Technologies, where he focused on the VLSI domain. This summer, he plans to intern at the New Zealand Stock Exchange as a Strategy Analyst. In addition to his education at Duke University, Kalakuntla received his bachelor’s degree from Osmania University in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2005. In his free time, he enjoys chess, badminton and reading.

 

Ling Fu

Ling Fu is a graduate of the Master of Engineering Management Program (class of 2008) at Duke University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Electronic Science and Technology. Her professional experiences to date include an internship with DSM as a commercial assistant. Ling enjoys collaborating in diversified team environments and approaching problems from novel perspectives.

 

Karthik Prasad

Karthik is a graduate student of the MEM program at Duke University. With an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, he went on to work for the business software company SAP. At Duke, his research interests focused on a global value chain analysis of the cell phone industry. He has a passion for languages and has taken part in both English and French theater. Karthik also enjoys music and is a trained percussionist. In his free time he enjoys watching stand-up comedy and soccer.
